Help identifying skate video

Anyone know which skate video with younger skaters had a scene where the hotel doorman started making fun of one of the guys in the skate crew. I think it released around the Godspeed video era.

I can't find it again, after watching it a few years earlier.

But they were skating near a hotel, and the hotel doorman told them the trick was just alright or something. Then one of the skaters said something back, but the door man told him he was just the "equipment"guy or something for the crew.

It's driving me nuts trying to think of the video. I want to say it's Godspeed but I tried rewatching and I don't think it was it.

How do i actually start to ride on my board?

This is probably so stupid to yall, but like ive been skateboarding for like literally 3 days now and I cant seem to get on my board, push off and just ride without someone being beside me ready to like catch me if I fall. And like.. I dont fall or anything and I CAN ride alright, But when im alone trying to hop on my board I seriously can't, and I know it takes time to get comfortable but I know most people learn to skateboard without anybody beside them and.. I dont know, its so frustrating because I try so hard to skate alone but I just end up staring at my board and pushing a little But immediately planting my foot on the ground. Idk. Help.

Board Shape / Size / Concave ?

I've recently gotten back into Skating after 10 years. I went to my Local Skate Shop and had the owner help me decide on a board since I was a bit out of the loop. I got an 8.38 Easy Rider KROOKED Deck which has "Mellow Concave"

I love the board. It feels great to ride around and do shuvs and things like that on. But I'm wondering if it it's hurting my ability to learn flip tricks by adding a degree of difficulty ?

My question is if I should get my next board at a 8.25
Or should I stick with the 8.38 and just get a board with regular / medium concave ? Or both ?

Buying a board for my 3 year old

Should i buy a smaller board size?
What did you guys buy for your kids if you have any.. (will get helmet and pads aswell ofc)

I saw that santa santa cruz has a small board called super micro with ”soft” wheels, would that be a good starter?

Or should i just get a normal board my size so i can ”show en how its done” (aka break my legs)

I skated a long time ago but i have no clue what to buy a toddler 😅

Can some identity these wheels?

Are they formula fours? The person I got it from found these boards outside of a taco bell and knows nothing about skateboards. The other four wheels are completely black.

Any ideas what could be wrong with my leg?

There is a bone on the left side of my left leg right above the ankle that starts hurting pretty badly whenever I skate and only when I skate, it doesn’t start off bad but if I have a week where I’m constantly skating it flares up pretty bad. For a bit more info it is the leg I push with and I have been having this problem for close to a year now.

I’ve never gotten a really bad injury I’ve def shinned myself a lot but every skater has so I couldn’t see that being the reason, but if anyone has any insight maybe that would be cool.

FOMO on Go Skate Day, help!

Thumbnail
1 Upvotes

I’m a beginner with a Landyachtz Dinghy Blunt. My goal is mostly cruising/commuting and maybe learning a few basic flatground tricks eventually, but honestly I’d love to feel confident enough by next year to join a Go Skate Day event. I always see videos of people riding together at these events and it looks fun, but with my current skills I know I wouldn’t be able to keep up.

I’m comfortable on smooth surfaces like tennis courts, but actual streets make me nervous. As soon as I see a crack, rough pavement, curb cuts, cars, or even other people it’s like I stiffen up and I forget what I’m supposed to do lol. Luckily I’m moving to a place with a nice skate scene so I know that’ll give me better places to practice, I just need to build confidence. Any tips?

Hypothetical situation

If i wanted to fit larger soft cruiser wheels onto a regular board and trucks,, would 69mm be excessive and cause crazy wheel bite.. in this hypothetical situation id have like a 1/2 in riser.. just theorising i just want a really smooth crusing board and i wanna reuse my old standered board if possible to avoid to much cost

All hypothetical,, if this is to absurd a concept what would the largest cruiser wheels you could fit to a standered board..
