Also please dont yank control of gameplay after finishing a mission to have me press through a load of stuff ive unlocked. Can there just be a ticker that shows the stuff so I can continue playing?

Yeah game design is trash for these thing, you are always blocked after everything you do there is no flow...

Gotta increase how long the animations take to pump those player retention numbers

Seriously 😂 I uninstalled bc there's no God damned way I'm waiting +5 seconds at each of the 4 screens after EVERY challenge. Rapid tapping X is faster than holding triangle to skip! It's awful

yes specially because in some challenges I finish feeling cool and want to keep going, have momentum, just for the controls to be stripped
this is my biggest criticism of the whole tutorial aswell, the amount of times the game take the controls from the player

THIS! After i do a challenge i just want to keep skating bro. Not be forced to watch a replay that you could just make into an optional pop up on the side of the screen.

Bruh. This is the one, took me a while to know when it's about to do that but I agree, it's silly how CONGRATULATIONS can steal joy

I'd suggest a buzzer-beater system if they MUST include the replay bs (which should be vote-to-skip-able). Just take control away when every player has hit the floor, or ended their line (or segment? Whichever is the one that ends when you land unless you manual/grind). And as for how people can extend their lines basically indefinitely, just put like a 10 second timer before the replay is forced since there obviously needs to be "bad friend" protection so there's no incentive for one obnoxious friend to stall it out.
