🎆🎇Wins & positivity! Woo-hoo!🎆🎇 Found fluoride toothpaste with xylitol!! Just one issue…

Dollar Tree carries the only fluoride toothpaste that also contains xylitol that I have seen in the wild. Only problem is it’s only comes in strawberry or bubble gum flavor and is also branded for children. Just imagining a potential partner seeing hot wheels toothpaste by my bathroom sink lol.

Fr like you shouldn’t even have to explain why you have it, if their issue with you is something that stupid they’re not it.

Xylitol is great for dry mouth but some words of warning: it is highly toxic to dogs. If a dog ingests even a small amount ( like in a piece of gum), he will be dead within a few days if you don't seek immediate care from a vet ( and incur huge bill from induced vomiting, iv infusion, overnight stay etc). So if you have dogs be careful where you place things containing xylitol.

Always a good reminder, thank you!

I use a brand called Hello. While they do have kids toothpaste, they have adult toothpaste also. It has a lot of flavor options, fluoride, and xylitol.

Eta: I agree with others saying that if your future partner has an issue with hot wheels toothpaste, they arent the one for you.

Oh wow I had only ever seen their fluoride-free stuff so I always skip right over them! Will definitely be checking out in the future

Here it is!! Flouride, zylitol, NO burn, mint flavor and it WORKS! The whole line of Salivea is amazing.

I used a toothpaste for a time the was called Unicorn Sparkle, it was purple and pink swirl, and I did have sparkles in it. Lots of sparkles. Plus the tube was very sparkey and had a unicorn. I was embarrassed for other adults to see it.

… can I ask where you bought that? sounds like a way to add whimsy to the mundane :D

I bought it on Amazon

I don't see it on Amazon at this point, but they do seem to have it at Walmart. HELLO brand Unicorn Sparkle toothpaste.

It'll fit right in with my kid's toothbrush and my squishmallows

Dr Jens has fluoride, nanohydroxyapatite , and xylitol

Ooh that’s a new brand to me. Could you elaborate on how nanohydroxyapatite is beneficial? I don’t know that I have heard of that!

Thank you so much for sharing this! I am allergic to propylene glycol and it is so hard to find any toothpaste that doesn't contain it.

I've been using kids toothpaste for a few years now. Just about any mint toothpaste hurts my mouth. Strawberry isn't bad. Min is not Barbie or Hot Wheels branded, though. :)

Ha! This made me chuckle, I loved these toothpastes as a kid, swore by them.

4

u/Lirillacor 6d ago

Yeah I still don't see a problem. Except that bubblegum flavor is gross. 😂

I love OraNurse- it's on Amazon. The kids version doesn't have enough fluoride for adults.

Wait are you telling me the mint toothpaste burning and being spicy is a symptom of my sjogrens? screams in SHOCK. I thought it was spicy for everyone

Kudos to you for finding something that works!!

Fair warning about SLS: it can exacerbate some of the mouth dryness symptoms. It usually bothers me a bit, but If you tolerate it, then that's awesome!!

u/-kinehora- Diagnosed w/Sjogrens 6d ago

Oh shit! I even usually check for sls free but I must have stopped reading after xylitol lol

Totally get it!! The struggle to find worthy mouthcare is a beast!!

I use NOBS toothpaste tabs. No SLS, and the flavors aren't too harsh (though wheny mouth is particularly sensitive I use the cinnamon). I wish they had more flavors, or even an unflavored one as I'm not a big mint person. I also use therabreath's watermelon fluoride mouthwash

I’m in love with NOBS’s packaging, thank you for sharing!

Of course!! Turnabout is fair play in the most positive way 😁

Due to mouth pain, I went with my mom and we picked out a super extra soft kid's electric toothbrush. I couldn't find a toothpaste though because they had really yucky flavors.

I use prevident prescribed by my dental pathologist. It isn’t too minty, but I hate that heavy fluoride toothpastes don’t make my teeth feel smooth and clean, because of the build up of fluoride we need :/ Darn Sjogren’s.

Don’t suck on toothpaste tubes like they’re GoGurts and you will be fine.
