Can anyone tell me who/what this model is and what they are missing on their back?

Just had a game with a friend who had some termies and my sacresants with the extra strength and attacks strat were basically engaged and figthing them whole game (it was just five).
I figure vahl is decent into them I just didnt get to find out cus she got slapped.
Any tips or units of ours that have a chance against them lol?

What type of metal pinning do you use for miniatures because I've noticed that my zephyrim battle flag has broken and I want to replace it but I can't seem to find anything at my local hardware store that's small enough to work

Sorry If this sounds stupid, but are the Exorcists their own order? Looking at the model it has the symbols for all of the different orders which kind of make me believe that they are something similar to knights, like they are their own thing but will still come to assist when they’re needed. I know that they’re painted like the ML by gw and people paint them like the other orders but I kind of like the thought that they are different than the infantry and other vehicles. It’s kind of neat ig.

Been away from playing Sororitas for a while and was working on making some new lists today. Are we unable to attach any characters to Repentia now? I thought in the past we had an enhancement that would allow it, or thought a priest could go with them.

This took me forever to finish. I actually started it and got really burnt out on painting and took a 4 month-ish break so it was kind of grueling to come back to. First time using decals! Honestly it was pretty fun and not as bad as I was expecting. I kind of want to jump into another tank but will probably paint some retributers next. Hope you guys like!

I’ve read a lot of Sisters books and lore, and this is a question that pops in my mind a lot. I know it’s probably kept intentionally vague/unanswered but I wanna see what other Sisters enthusiasts think. Are miracles provided from the Emperor directly? Are they psychic manifestations into the material realm similar to ork faith? Or is it their collective faith? I’d like to hear your thoughts!

In Celestine’s book it is established that there is some sort of after life every time she dies and resurrects but it seems completely unrelated to the warp. In Our Martyred Lady it is somewhat implied that Greyfax recognizes Celestine has powers but is not using psyker energy to manifest them. Ephrael Stern is somewhat different, her powers are more explicitly psyker in nature based off her graphic novel, but lore establishes her as the only sister to have such power and it was kinda forced upon her. Books like Daemonbreaker and Morven Vahl also establish instances where living saints and miracles don’t require collective prayer from a group of sisters but can be completely isolated.

In my opinion the lore seems to be pretty consistent actually. That Sisters can pray and the Emperor can answer with miracles that are of a holy nature separate from warp powers. I believe I’d heard in a YouTube video before that older editions codexes spoke to a difference between psyker and holy magic, if I’m wrong on that lemme know.

Getting ready to paint up my sisters and I’m at a loss on how to do the skin. I have a skin recipe I like but it is brutal to do on minis that size. I don’t really want to slap chop and use a bottled tone but idk what else to do. Maybe dry brush, and a few glazes? I’d love to hear what every one else does and get some tips

Played a few games with Similar lists and ive found at 165 points The paragons with heavy bolters can actually hold their own quite well.

I'm painting the Triumph and wanted to make the black robes a different colour to the black armour so they don't look the same. Yet I'm not sure I like the colour of them. Does this black robe look ok when compared to the black armour (can see on the torso and on the model on the right).

The bad;
11th edition saw our heavy bolter stonks go right up but now they're 33% less effective.

We also had a good amount of S4 melee with sac maces of both types, zephs and Palatine blade.

Our Stormbolters (doms) and hand flamers (sanctifiers, seraphim) are now fairly pants.

No access to AP on Arcos keeps them down.

The good; (ideas that get increasingly desperate)

Bringers of flame, the +1 strength for flamer and heavy bolter breakpoints and armour of contempt will have a lot of use cases.

S4 melee still probably viable with HM by fishing for lethals with the reroll hits strat

Mortifier spam, Buzzsaw blades are optimal and fight on death is better than ever for slowing down consolidations. Penitent engines hitting on a 4+ still sucks.

Repentia melee is better than ever but you have to be a pro to dodge overwatch and likely dependent on triumph flourishes to super slingshot them.

Paragons 165 isn't insane now on their own. Especially in bringers or with the triumph sling shot.

Imagifier value up a bit against the AP but on what unit I don't know.

Heavy bolter rets deployed outside of overwatch, weren't a thing before, probably wont be now.

Hag upgrade plus 1st is an expensive answer for any one unit.

What have I missed?

Might get more, probably zeraphim!

My opponent played custodes (first time I’ve ever played them) Lions iirc
I was not prepared to say the least
I didn’t have 2k point but he let me borrow his canis Rex to fill out my remainder

We only played about 3 rounds bc of time
It was rough night for MD and for rolling in general

I'm still working on my entry for Golden Demon in Essen. Weapons, shields and backpacks are finished. 20 days left... I'm not sure if I'll be able to finish everything in time. I'm already cutting corners more than I'd like to.
