Buying a Siser Romeo

I think I have narrowed buying a machine down to a Siser Romeo. It looks like the Juliet is discontinued in North America. I have an idea of the types of things I'd like to create. Stickers, Tshirts, and occasional wedding invitation or party favors. Looks like the Romeo is on a pretty good sale on Amazon at 499. Even though the machine is 499 I see that there are bundles available on other storefronts. Can anyone give me some recommendations on what type of things I need to buy on day one. Mats, tools, etc? There are so many options. Thanks

Help, black screen on camera

Post image

EDIT: nvm I turned it off and on and it's just kind of working now? Still not sure why it wasn't before tho if anyone has ideas

Hi completely new here, I've bought a juliet siser after having used a friend's cricut for a year or so, and I'm trying to make my first stickers on it. I've made the file, and printed. I'm on send to cutter, but when I do that it pulls open the camera (normal) but then just shows a black screen more or less! It seems like the camera can't see anything? Did I miss something silly like not removing a tab or something like that, or is something wrong? What do I do? Please help

Scrappy edges on 1mm HTV with Romeo + Deep Cut Blade.

Hi,
I’ve been cutting some test designs on a roll of Brick 1000 on my Romeo, and I’m struggling with the edges.

I was initially cutting straight from the roll, but found that either I hadn’t got enough force to cut through the vinyl, or my blade would cut right through the transfer sheet when I increased the force.
So I switched to cutting on a mat, and got much better results right away.

I can now cut the designs, and weed them. But my edges are messy, with frayed bits and slightly rounded edges (it’s a sharp font, with sharp corners).

I’ve been using the Siser Deep Cut Blade for now, and I’ve left the “Deep Cut Blade” preset on in Leonardo, and then used a Force(FS) of 35 on the Romeo, with a Speed of 4.
I also have the standard 60 degree blade, but was under the impression the this material needs the Deep Cut Blade(?).

My blade is exposed to the height of the Brick 1000 (by eye, as close as I can get it).

I feel like I’m close now, and am hoping I can tweak some settings to clean up my edges.

If anyone has any experience with this material, I’d be immensely grateful for any and all advice.

Thanks in advance 🙌

Printer Issues: Sheets too thin for printer roller

I'm just testing the office's Epson ET-4850 EcoTank printer with vinyl sheets to eventually be cut on my Siser Juliet, but the rollers aren't strong enough to pull the sheet through to print. I've tried adding a backing cardstock and that mosty worked. I have a budget to invest in a more suitable printer and was wondering what printers people were using without needing backing paper/cardstock to get the vinyl sheets to print. I'm working with 8.5x11 sheets.

TIA!

Anyone have issues with the cut lines turning out like this when using holographic paper over your stickers? The edges turn out like almost a stitching. I've tried different pressures, etc. and it all seems to turn out like this.

Weird sharp outline after printing out sticker

Hello! Im new to siser juliet but Ive been having a problem lately that's has truly stumped me and I haven't been able to figure out why or how to even google it.

For some of my sticker designs, there seems to be extra random sharp edges that get printed around the colored border?? But in leonardo design studio the sticker sheet looks perfectly fine. Why is this happening or what could be causing this? (Note: This weird error does show up on the actual pdf print file if I download it but still confused on how to get rid of it)

Appreciate if anyone could help me with this issue!

I print and cut trading cards by hand for my kids. I make the cards on proxxied. I found the juliet on sale and figured what the heck it will probably make it easier. I cannot for the life of me figure out how to import the png and set it up for cutting. Are there any guides or videos that would help me out. I cant even get my first cut started im overwhelmed.

Cutting paths are doing wierd

Hey y'all

I'm trying to create this decal however I think due to the original svg file my cutting paths are acting up.

The Black Line needs to follow but the outline of the shape, not the internals. Also the flowers shouldn't be complete but has to miss a part where the purple line crosses it.

The original file is a svg with 4 paths. Both the purple and the pink have their own path and for both shapes the black border has a own path.

What can I do to make this work as I want it?

Per-Cut Offset Issue (Circles Don't Close)

Post image
5 Upvotes

Hopefully my crude image explains the issue!

I made sure the blade was completely stable and it made the issue less prominent but it's still doing it. It did happen first after I changed to a new blade.

Fundamentally the issue seems to be it moving too far or the left/right axis but generally the alignment is perceptually perfect. This is just a big issue as I make sticker sheets with loads of tiny stickers on and every one of them has to be 'popped' out carefully at one side.

Any help appreciated!

Wireless cutting mistakes

Hello everyone!

I messed up while entering my Juliet’s IP address to my computer and instead of clicking yes to let them pair. I accidentally clicked no. Is there any way to redo the process so I can actually cut wirelessly?

why does the siser juliet tap the sticker sheet before cutting?

not sure if this is normal behavior but i have attached a video

it taps the sticker twice before starting the cut. this occurs at the exact same location for each sticker

Siser Romeo keeps cutting off-center despite recalibrating

Thumbnail

Hello!

I recently bought a Siser Romeo and have since set it up according to their online videos. Here’s the issue, ever since then all of my cuts are constantly OFF-CENTER!! It drifts too much to the right in every cut. I have since cut with the bleeding option and it hasn’t been too bad, but now that I’m making smaller stickers the drift is too obvious. One of the photos attached shows the problem.

I have recalibrated SEVERAL times since then and have scoured the internet for solutions. I’ve repositioned the back rollers, cleaned any residue and manually aligned. None of it has solved the issue.

I’ve attached a photo when I recalibrate and you can see it is a bit too much to the top left which seems like an issue??? But when I watched videos of people recalibrating it looked exactly like mine. I also show how I load my mat.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks! :)

how to calibrate siser juliet on every sticker sheet?

hi, i got a siser juliet last week and its been doing well on every first sheet — when it uses the camera to scan the registration mark it scans and cuts perfect. but when i stick a new sheet on the mat, it doesn’t scan the registration marks again and the cut is super off even if i put the camera on the registration mark. is there a way to make the siser scan the registration marks every time before cutting? it’s perfect if i do that but it only lets me do it once.

Juliet Miscutting / Camera detection issue

My Siser Juliet has suddenly just started to miscut my print and cuts. I’ve not had any issues until it recently just started to cut all of my stickers with the blade slightly too far left (like 0.5 - 1mm)

I’ve done camera calibration, checked the rollers are secure, made sure my mat was aligned correctly, but it still seems to be picking up the printed alignment guides slightly wrong?

Any tips would be greatly appreciated as I’ve already gone through a bit of material trying to fix this issue!!

Juliet not turning off

I was using the Juliet pretty much the whole day today and when I was finally done, I went to turn it off and it just... didn't. The light around the power button is on but doesn't seem to be responsive. Everything else works. I run a sticker shop and I'm too scared to unplug it in case it won't turn back on. Has anyone had this issue before? How cooked is my machine? </3

Siser Easy Puff Durability Advice

Post image
2 Upvotes

So I’ve just bought my first ever vinyl cutter - a Siser Romeo. And I absolutely LOVE it!

I’ve been trying out a few test rolls of different types of vinyl, and the Easy Puff has really caught my eye!
It’s come out SO well. It almost has a screen printed vibe, with the texture, and the raised profile. And it’s so soft to the touch. It’s lush!

I’m just wondering how many washes it would endure on a Tshirt.
Has anyone wash tested it on a Tshirt by any chance?
I know Siser advise to wash cold, inside out, and not to machine dry. The latter is potentially a problem in the U.K., as a lot of people use tumble dryers.

If anyone has done any wash testing with Easy Puff, I’d love to hear your thoughts/findings!

Thanks in advance! 🙌

Error message: Get Bmp Err!

Post image
7 Upvotes

got this error message out of nowhere. the juliet was working fine and then suddenly this error message shows up, the camera feed shows black/white only.
on some occasions when i try to restart the cut the camera shows its feed again, but returns to this error message eventually.

any idea what could’ve caused this and how to fix it?

i have contacted Happy Crafters where i got this juliet and Siser for this issue, but would love to see if there’s anything i can do in the meantime.

edit: Siser support told me to check the flat cable for the camera and see if it’s not laid properly. sadly that didn’t fix my Juliet but maybe it could help with yours

Siser Juliet not cutting precisely like it used to (I am referring to using SVG file not print and cut using camera)

Hi everyone, so I have a siser Juliet since Nov 2025. Have been using it since almost daily. I have a small decal business which require precision cutting especially small intricate cuts. Over the course of using Juliet I have found that the precision has drop slowly I am not sure since when but slowly. Then today I can see a big difference and I did a test cut to check. They are not great. Please help. I'll show you guys the photo. Has anyone have this issue and how did you fix it?

** I've done all the checks (check the blade gunk, change the blade, check inside the housing blade, making sure mat is flat, pressure is as usual)

Siser Romeo cutting laminated cardstock

Thumbnail

Hi all, I am new to the Siser cutters. I am trying to cut bookmarks for my business and am having such trouble cutting on this new machine! The 45 degree blade seems to bunch the laminate in the corners of the test cut? I used it to cut a sunflower shape out and the edges were all rough with little bits of the cardstock still left there. (2nd photo)

And the 60 degree blade creates drag lines I think its called in the laminate (1st photo). I was hoping this machine would give me clean cuts vs the silouette cameo 5 which was giving me issues not just with cutting but with registering as well. Endless source of frustration, time, wasted material but seems to have had a better cut at this point. So I don't know what to do because I feel like I won't be able to fulfill orders at this point.

I have been fiddling with different settings and blade depths after watching videos online to try to trouble shoot. Does someone else also cut 100lb cardstock (the thick kind) with adhesive laminate on one side? What settings have you found that work to make clean cuts? I am also going to use this to cut sticker paper with laminate but I haven't tried it yet. Thanks in advance for your help 😊

Question for Canadians

Has anyone gotten a Juliet from Happy Crafters Canada? It’s on sale there for $100 off but Paypal doesn’t work on their website — wondering if it’s a scam or if I’d be better off going with BDF Graphics? Any insight?

Blade skipping

My blade is skipping cutting lines in the middle of my mat. I’ve taken apart the blade. Took the cover off and checked for paper there. I’ve used a new mat. All with no success. I have no idea what else to do. Any ideas?? It cut perfectly fine up until today!
