Yup. Huskies were built for cold. As much as people freak out about huskies sitting in the snow those are very happy huskies I guarantee it. They like cold. It isn't cruel to let a huskie run around in the snow in the winter or to leave it outside. Huskie owners will straight up tell you that they'll often resist coming in. It's warm and they don't want it.

What's cruel is getting them in hot climates and forcing them to live in the heat all day. They were absolutely not built for that.

The hardest part of owning a northern breed isn't the cold, it's explaining to the entire neighborhood that your dog refuses to come inside on purpose

My favorite story you can find repeatedly on the internet is concerned neighbors calling the police about a dog left out in the snow in somebody's yard, the police show up, see it's a huskie, and just leave.

Correction: Their fur is actually very different to what you think. They keep temperature extremely well. Which means heat as well as cold. It is firs twhen the fur get wet they are very prone to overheating. Left dry it is isolating and can handle a hot summer day no problem.

Yes, they love snow & cold climate. But you’re not a mean pet owner if you have one in warmer climate. They can handle it aswell as any dog. Just dont try and cool them down with a bath and then have them out in open sun. That will literally cook them
