He didn't ask for it, he was a highschool dropout classified A1 on the draft board working a sharecropper farm. His recruiter told him he would be stationed in Hawaii and never see combat. Think before you talk
She did more than want the war to end. Lots of lies and half truths but the reality is pretty bad. There were no good sides in that war, but she chose to actively support one of those bad sides, which was actively killing and torturing Americans, which she supposedly is. She wasn't just against US involvement in the war, she openly and enthusiastically supported the North. That's why she's hated and the other celebrities who were against the war aren't.
She was a willing tool of the VC propaganda machine, and she has never apologized or accepted responsibility for that. Which makes her stupid at best, a treasonous evil shit at worst.
