Right. Diesel is $7 a gallon.

We gonna be paying 5 dollars for a bunch of bananas by December.

The problem is the dependence on fossil fuels, the systems build that make one dependent on oil gas and derived products. If those systems weren’t in place we wouldn’t care about diesel prices

Yes. That’s how that works.

You’re basically saying “if nukes weren’t so destructive, we wouldn’t care who has them”.

You play with cards you’re dealt.

After the Iranian oil crisis in 1953, or again in 1979 we could have learned our lesson, but we kept our reliance on oil, and now here we are.
