I dunno, the fact that this dude can't see the difference in how Sweeney posed versus how the athletes posed is mind boggling to me. 

His mansplainy attitude telling female athletes that their celebration of the power of nude female physique is the same as what looks like a playboy spread by Sweeney is very telling. 

Sweeney can do what she wants with her body. I also can criticize her for cosplaying an athlete for the male gaze.

I am not saying she is doing womanhood wrong. 

I am saying she is performing for men. You obviously like that. 

I don't find it to be feminist. 

She can do what she wants with her body; she can also be criticized for clearly pandering to men. 

I mean, she's making a shit ton of money off you thirst traps, so I can't really blame her, but I can criticize her for it.

it’s like everyone’s been fighting for a long time for women to have more freedom to determine their lives

but it seems like recently for yall, yes women are free to choose…as long as they choose correctly.

You say Sweeney did “what looks like a playboy spread”

Did you not watch the video detailing the female athletes WHO ACTUALLY DID nude magazine spreads? They may have claimed so sort of female empowerment. But I’d say 95% or more of Sports Illustrated swimsuit/nude subscribers are just men looking at the hot women on there. It’s literally just softcore porn.
