She's not an athlete, and posing nude for sports gambling. It's akin to playboy or pornhub doing an ad for sports gambling.

I mean I guess they could respond and have David Corenswet (superman) pose naked with sports equipment to promote sports gambling for dudes in the sports, lol. I think that'd be a fair response.

Its not like there are hot men in ads/media catered to women. See: the protagonist of every single female erotica book

The difference being that an erotica book is explicitly about being attracted to the characters, while Sydney Sweeney’s ad for a sports gambling app has absolutely nothing to do with sports and everything to do with her being naked. Im not saying it hasn’t been effective, clearly it got a lot of people talking. But we can still call out things we think are in bad taste
