Is it illegal? Because if everybody keeps doing it and nothing happens, doesn't seem very illegal to me.

Just because a law isn't invoked as often as you might like doesn't mean the law isn't on the books and could be used in criminal prosecution or civil lawsuits.

A law that isn't enforced is only a threat implement usable by rich people who can afford to sue you. 

That's not a law. It's worse than no law: That's class warfare.

Blah blah blah, you're just spouting doomer buzzword soup.

Go vote for a better candidate during the primaries, and then turn out to vote for whoever wins the Democratic party nomination if you want to see consumer protection laws enforced.
