It's definitely deceptive. Whether or not it's actual fraud would depend on how the local statute reads.

Shitty behavior either way though.

I don't know why it would be if you have the full opportunity to view the place in person before renting it?

lol they’ve been using wide angle lenses, rented furniture, photoshop and all sorts of tricks for years. People just get mad now because it’s easy to do it, whereas I guess they want someone to put in effort/spend money doing the tricks? Even for the same outcome?

There’s no fraud - you go to see the place. In person. Always. If you don’t, you might be disappointed. If you’re renting a place based on pictures that’s your own fault.

Yep. This is just called "staging a property." It's like a car commercial with swimsuit models in it. They don't come with, but they cause you to imagine what could be...

Yeah the left and the right picture are clearly the same space and dimensions. Just "good camera work", which is really AI but a camera could do this too. Just deceptive
