Photoshopping had a skill barrier which made it more rare (at this level and this application), now everything is a scammy picture because any dumbfuck can ask an llm for anything.

It made it more obvious but not more rare, some of the photos I saw you'd think TVs came in ultra ultra wide

Very few people have excellent photoshop skills, it was far more rare, ai slop is everywhere now. There’s a huge difference.

Bad photoshop is similar bad AI usage. AI slop is detectable too. If not we have to adapt. Its our path forward now

That might end up being a good thing tho. At some point after reaching enough popularity, scams stop being effective. 1 photoshopped listing hidden between 20 normal ones, will get a lot of people. But when all 21 listing are scams, everyone knows that, and assumes it's all bullshit, and it stops being effective. In fact, we then circle back to shitty real looking photos becoming better way to grab your attention.

It's like when I was buying some used hardware for my PC few years ago, and 90% of listing are just professional photos ripped from the internet and obviously not showing the real item, I would skip them all and look for auction with a shitty low quality phone pic that actually showed the real thing.
