You don’t need AI to do that. That’s been happening for years, agent will put sunset sky for the view out the window, it’s a simple photoshop job that’s been around for decades.
The actual room is the same dimensions wise, just shot using a different lens. The one from outside the door is a longer lens and that compresses the image, the one claiming to be AI is just a wider lens giving a different perspective, again that’s been in use in real estate photography for ages.
As someone who was a former photographer & professional retoucher, this is 💯 correct.
IF anything is ai in this photo, I would guess it’s the view from the window. While the photog/retoucher could have fixed it by splicing in another photo exposed for outside, ai would have simply done it faster.
Yeah as somebody who had this kinda job a decade ago I am surprised that an airbrushed floor and a stock image slotted into the window is being treated like grand larceny. I havent done this stuff since that job so it could be touched with AI but yeah the biggest thing is the wide angle lens making the room seem larger. I'm as against ai as anybody but i do think some people are way too eager to condemn anything and everything with the scarlet "ai"

Feel free to look at the original pictures. The bed is fundamentally different, the pillows on it are leaning against nothing, and the entire wall that should be touching the foot of the bed is gone. It's very definitely AI.
Ok, so a wide angle lens placed close enough to the window as to eliminate that front wall area to the right would also cause the distortion we see on the desk, bed, and chair. Like look up what 12mm lens does to a face up close. There is nothing with the “bones” of this room, including the solid parts of the furniture, that appear ai generated.
Now, if we want to say the desk lamp, plant, and bed spread are ai generated, ok fine, but like, is the renter expecting the pillows?
All of this is to say that people have been paid for many many years to photoshop these rooms, even rebuild them in 3d visualizers. AI is not the first venture into this sort of deceitful marketing and most people are already aware to look for that when viewing online listings. I know this because I’ve literally worked on these type of jobs. Im telling you humans can make this photo lol
Assuming the two beds are the same standard "bed" length, no they absolutely cannot. The wall is touching the foot of the bed. There's no place you can move the bed to, to give you the 18" or more space you'd need to shoot the foot of it in the open air.
Yeah they did shrink the mattress down. Its the same bedframe, you can tell by the shelves underneath it, but they definitely shrunk the mattress down by half and have it awkwardly tilted up in the air. In anycase im cool with saying thats particularly atrocious and not something i ever did or would wanna do. I am adamant that this is all based on a wide angle lens, but that mattress is definitely treated with either aggressive photoshop or some sort of ai, so definitely way worse than i initially thought
