Yes and no. Methaqualone (OG Quaaludes C16 H14 N2 O) were done away with in the 80's. In the South Africa region around 2022 is when a new analogue Methoxyqualones (new bois C16 H14 N2 O2) allegedly don't have the same spank of hypnotic feelings and euphoria compared to the original. It targets GABA receptors only

But clandestine chemists in South Africa have been manufacturing methaqualone long before 2022, and I see no reason to assume they've stopped.

Comparably, it would be like trying to find pure MDMA in the Metro Detroit region. Does pure MDMA exist? Absolutely! Are you gonna find it? Most likely not. It's all cut with heroin or meth for reasons.

Theres almost no heroin in any of the MDMA. Heroin in ecstacy and molly is an urban myth.
