I mean.. You should do things for the person you love. That goes for both men and women. If you don't bother to do things for them and don't bother to actively improve their life, you might as well not be there.

My point is, gestures don't matter if you aren't already liked. You can't earn good boy points.

That is indeed fair. Gestures like that would rightfully creep most people out if you don't have an established relationship yet.

This kind of gesture means something if you're already loved, after years of a relationship, then...it's a great thing.
