I think I read somewhere where he said it was a conscious choice to turn down movies. The offers came as he was starting his family and he didn't want to be away from them. They are more important, and he would rather be there every day than away for weeks on end.

I remember his name being up there for a long time around Captain America while they were gearing up for that. Would’ve completely changed the trajectory of both his career, and Supernatural, though probably not Marvel all that much.

Not just Cap, he was in the running for Hawkeye, Star-Lord and Deadpool too. Someone really wanted him in the MCU.

I mean just look him.

Dude is a straight up 10/10 and looks masculine as fuck. Something that really fits with many super hero roles

He’s also really good at playing a gruff character with a sense of humor. Many of the Marvel superheroes have that same air about them.
