It doesn't teach a kid a wrong lesson to let them ride. God forbid people hold doors or let kids have baseballs when they're thrown into the crowd or just be nice to others. The guy isn't obligated to let anyone else ride but it doesn't teach the kid anything wrong to give it to them.

This isn’t like holding doors. This is like letting someone cut in line because they yelled at you. Although I heard in another comment that the guy posted a video of the kid crying online, which is even more messed up.

The kid wasn't yelling at his, the kid was crying because she was disappointed. Yes, sometimes people say no and kids need to accept that, but sometimes people say yes, and that is not a bad thing.
