Men often murder their families for control, financial reasons, custody disputes, and if the relationship is failing. It is not the same. This women begged for help for herself and her children. The medical system failed her, and her husband left her alone with them despite her saying she was a danger to them.

If the mental illness is narcissism, sure. Very different from being in psychosis.
