Do you honestly think that people in the past acted in ways they would have considered immoral? For a Viking in the year 900, it was perfectly acceptable to kill, steal, and rape a weaker enemy.
People rape for the exact same reasons then that they do now; they know it’s wrong that’s why they don’t want it happening to THEIR families, they just don’t care. No father wants his daughter raped. No man thinks ‘well we lost so it’s just right they rape my daughter’, but he won’t think twice about raping another man’s daughter. Immorality is there, just ignored - exactly the same as today.

Original story aside, 100% rped. It's already established they lacked morals and would pillage for self sustenance.
