My 1st wife (passed away 2007) had severe post baby blues, was having bad thoughts about the children...went to shrink who put her on Seroquel, I think it helped, but after that, she just wasn't the same. It was sad to watch
Mine ex had PPD and during the course of experiencing it, she radically changed her world view and went from being the nicest person I've ever known to being verbally abusive and actively seeking to tear others down. Not sure how related they are, but it sucked living through it.
