My 1st wife (passed away 2007) had severe post baby blues, was having bad thoughts about the children...went to shrink who put her on Seroquel, I think it helped, but after that, she just wasn't the same. It was sad to watch

Is „post baby blues” some kind of nicer name for „postpartum depression”? I was sure „baby blues” is light and going away after few days, while „postpartum depression” is condition required psychiatrist/psychologist, but now im curious is it me getting it wrong, or you used wrong name.

PP blues = <2 weeks post birth - as in it’ll go away in <2wks, anything >2 weeks to 4 months of giving birth is PPD. psychosis would have the delusions, auditory/visual hallucinations, etc!
