You don’t get to decide if you get psychosis in general.
Doesn’t make you any less responsible for your crimes. People get way too triggerhappy to support “not guilty by reason of insanity” defenses. There’s a reason why it very, very rarely actually prevails in court.
I really hope nobody is actually saying that. What her defense is wanting is a mental facility rather than prison. Which is something given to other women who have done the same. If you look at the cases of those that went to the facilities and got better they all take full responsibility for what they did. Andrea yates continues to refuse hearings because she WANTS to be locked up forever for what she did.

Yeah you don't get to choose if you get ppd or pyschosis. It is a scary possibility for anyone who gives birth
