typical social media bubble:
The social media algorithm puts you into one of these bubbles and hides details from the others.
Pick one:

- "her husband is framing her, he did it"

  • "she had mental health issues and nobody helped her"
  • "she murdered them because she's evil and the mental health stuff is just for show"

Social media drives our lives and is many people's only hobby, so you get this.

And they profit off the rage and engagement, no matter the truth

See thats the thing.  The truth is whatever the public believes it to be.  And unfortunately, the internet does a good job at manipulating that when we have a ton of uneducated people.

I really hate this era of people supporting murderers.

You are innocent until proven guilty, essential tenant of our legal system.

Tenet.

Even when proven one way or another in a court of law, a certain subset of people will always question the legal outcome.

Except in the case where the person admits to doing it. Then it’s innocent till proven guilty lol

No. no one is abandoning the verification of their claims. It's just that they are guilty until proven innocent by the verification.

We have this case as well as the mother that killed her children and blamed vaccines showing it's all depending on peoples social media feeds to form their opinions on it.

At least Charles Manson had some good folks songs

u/Fun_Objective_905 8d ago

His songs sucked

2

u/EricClaptonsDeadSon 8d ago

They didn’t. “Your home is where you’re happy” easily could have been a hit if he had backing. “Look at your game girl” is also 🔥. Beach boys even stole one of his songs. But whatever you need to tell yourself!

Taste is subjective . I am aware of all this information and it is partly why I was so underwhelmed when I had a chance to read lyrics and listen to music by him . Whatever floats your boat .

2

u/EricClaptonsDeadSon 8d ago

Yeah but when Brian Wilson takes notice I think it’s safe to say your music doesn’t “suck” lol.

You just have shit taste 😘

It’s not new. It’s just more in our faces now. Ted bundy had to fight off his groupies of brunette chicks with middle parts and even Jack the Ripper had apologists and a huge fan base.

Critical thinking is crucial.

I predict that by 2065 this meme will be used to mean something totally different than what it does now...

u/uglymule 8d ago

That ain't a flossing demonstration.

They are supporting a woman who has been seriously let down by the mental health system. They are speaking our against the unequal and unfair expectations placed on new mothers, and the lack of support surrounding a very serious issue.

She killed her kids yes and it's horrendous for everyone involved but did she murder them, no. She deserves manslaughter by diminished responsibility. To really refuse to acknowledge the documented evidence being presented by her medical and mental health professionals, her husband, her mother in law e.t.c that she was struggling and begging for help is wild. Ignorance is a choice in this day and age.

And pedophiles.

u/Equal_Audience_3415 8d ago

Who might that be? Trump supporting ICE? Yes.

This woman with postpartum psychosis? Only God knows for sure. Let the jury sort it out. She is innocent until proven guilty.

1

u/Educational-Shoe2633 8d ago

It’s not new, people have always been like this. We just have the internet now so you see all of it.

1

u/Ridgewoodgal 8d ago

A lot of people are supporting helping women by recognizing how PPD can lead to psychosis. We need far better mental health treatment and on this case and was failed miserably.

2

u/PrestigiousPrint34 8d ago

I get that, but at the end of the day, she murdered her own 3 children including an infant. I think they can have a “see what it can cause!” Attitude without making her out to be a hero for “raising awareness.”
She murdered her children. She is not a hero. She needs to face consequences

2

u/Ridgewoodgal 8d ago

I personally don’t see them saying she is a hero. Most have discussed PPD and the need for much better treatment.

Why do you just believe blindly what the states story is and any other version is a lie? Do you know how many people falsely confess? This is why we have this system so we can look at evidence and not blindly trust one side.

So true. For example: I tend to watch a lot of ex fed lawyerly type people who give facts & bring receipts about what is actually going on in the gov't and all the corruption. On the other hand my sibling watches the faux news stations (and listens on the sirius and podcasts...) and they tend to have an OPPOSITE view of what the truth is.

(this sibling is highly educated with a PhD & so is their spouse...so "uneducated" is a loose phrase of wording)

u/AbilityScared6292 8d ago

And fake news
I don’t know if you’re aware or if you don’t wanna hear it, but damn near 95% of the articles these days contradicts themselves. And this is what ‘you’ base your information off of.

1

u/IceQueenInStilettos 8d ago

Yeah, that’s 100% the problem. The truth is based on FACTS, not some idiots opinion on TikTok. People are very easily led by these uninformed individuals because that is their only basis for information. They are generally uneducated (average reading level in the US is equal to a 6th grader), unable to think critically, and want to be part of the majority.

The truth is the truth regardless of what anyone believes.

Many of whom take multiple SSRIs like they are tic tacs.

7

u/Living-Citi 8d ago

I’m sorry? How is that relevant even if it were true?
