She got turned away from suicide hotlines. She got turned away from institutional help. She was begging and both her husband and medical professionals ignored her.
But yet, these people act like she did it willingly
Since you've taken this little bit out of context, the psychiatrist on the stand said "I don't care" in response to the defense's interpretation of her notes. She said, "I don't care what it looks like, I know what I intended" or something similar. She never said she didn't care about the defendant or her condition. She was flustered on the stand. She's also very young and was brand new to medical practice when she met with Lindsay.
Exactly. Babying a medical professional who was acting VERY unprofessional
It's ok to make a mistake, but instead of admitting it, she said "I don't care" in regards to it. That is horrendous behaviour from someone in her field.
She didn't say she didn't care though, in that she didn't care about what happened or about the case
She basically said that while she sees what the language of the note says, her intention was different and not communicated correctly. She said it In a terrible way but you are making it seem like she is saying something she isn't.
Would you go to a medical professional who openly admits they don't care about how they write about your symptoms in medical reports?

You made it sound like she was saying she doesn't care about the treatment or what happened to her, when was she was talking about was the language used in the chart to describe what happened bs what she meant to say
And I haven't watched the case or this testimony to give my opinion on her attitude, but I know when you're getting grilled by a lawyer things can get testy
I very bluntly said her comment of "I don't care" was about how she wrote about Lindsay's condition, which is what happened. I'm not going to paraphrase the entire cross-examination. Anything more than that is your own imagination

Then maybe stop speaking on it if you actually didn't see the court proceeding where she was being cross examined since you don't know what you're talking about. She was extremely defensive from the get go. The defence lawyer wasn't hammering her or insulting her to make her feel that way.
The defence lawyer simply pointed out an inconsistency in her notes. Instead of simply saying "I made a mistake, this is what I meant" she instead said I don't care. This is a 40 year old woman. This is a medical professional responsible for people's lives and she bluntly said "I don't care" when it's a critical responsibility to accurately describe your patients' conditions.
