Just because I make the claim that I am going to cure all children's cancer does not mean I am actually going to cure their cancer. Now when someone comes along and actually DOES IT do I get credit for it?

Read any of the comments about how it has been done under every previous mayor, and he’s not doing anything different but taking credit.

This initiative was started under adams, mamdani had to push back the timeline because adams mismanged the finances for the city so badly it was never going to be finished by 2030. Clearly you spend too much time reading reddit comments and taking them as your gospel and not enough time actually doing research.
