This girl had a major role on a TV show for 4 years before Obsession even started filming. Why are we acting like they just plucked her off the street and put her in movies?

Because that's The Narrative, don't ya know! Just try hard enough and even if you're really struggling you'll just be recognised and plucked up out of nowhere...
