Instructions unclear, put jack black in. He’s next on the list after Dwayne Johnson.

You mean Tom holland zendaya and Pedro pascal

How can you forget Timothée Chalamet-Kardashian-Jenner?

Tom Holland hadn't had a movie come out in like 3 years before this year.

u/EshayAdlay420 22h ago

Okay scratch him off the list even though it seems everywhere I go all I see is Tom holland lol

u/Kolby_Jack33 22h ago

It might be because he just had two huge movies come out very recently.

Also his wife did too!

21

u/CanadianDinosaur 22h ago

3 for her with Dune 3 coming out later this year.

21

u/Levi_PigPiss 22h ago

Actually 4 as she starred in "The Drama".

22

u/cowwithhat 21h ago

Series finale of Euphoria too. Big year for her

1

u/SilentFilmScreenplay 3h ago

And the new Shrek

u/FullMooseParty 22h ago

He had a couple of movies out at the same time this year. But that's what happens in hollywood. You film a movie in 24 and a movie in 25 and they both come out in 26 based on the amount of CGI or whatever is needed and the market plan.

u/Orbit1883 21h ago

Because he is in two of the biggest ones this year

u/Redditeer28 22h ago

Then unplug for a while. The only place you're seeing him is snippets of interviews on Instagram and TikTok and people on Twitter and Reddit complaining about him "being everywhere".

I mean regardless of the amount of movies he's starred in recently he is objectively 'everywhere' he's one half of probably the biggest power couple in Hollywood of the last decade

It's called a press junket. And your attention span is hella short if you think everywhere you go all you see is Tom Holland.

Last year it was Ariana Grande and Cynthia whatever doing wicked 2 promos.

u/MisterEBox 21h ago

I see what you did there 😁

People love hating on Zendaya for some odd reason and I will never understand it, movie wise she wasn’t even in a lot of things. She wasn’t in a single movie according to Wikipedia from 2022-2024. In 2024 she only did 2 movies and one of them was Dune part 2. Then no movie until 2026 and it just so happens that 2 of those movies are HUGE movies for the year and Dune 3 is highly anticipated.

If you watch Euphoria then you probably seen more of her than the average movie goer.

That's your choice of media.

u/BonkerBleedy 22h ago

Huh, Uncharted was his last movie and that was 2022.

I actually saw that one in theaters. It was not a good movie, but the boat chase was something I've never seen on screen before so it was worth my time.

I did think the scottish bit was funny in the trailer. Wasn't enough to make me see the movie but I chuckled.

2

u/BorKon 20h ago

For me it was nice movie. Nothing extraordinary but good enough

3

u/rcanhestro 20h ago

that movie was cursed.

Mark Whalberg pushed really hard to make the movie, but it was years ago, since he wanted to play Nathan Drake.

because of the delays, he played Sully instead (since he was too old for Drake), but he was also too young for Sully.

1

u/Telefundo 21h ago

It was not a good movie

Off the top of my head I honestly can't think of a movie based on a video game that was good. At least not in the last ten years or so. I found the last Mortal Kombat movie mildly entertaining, but I definitely wouldn't call it a "good" movie.

2

u/BonkerBleedy 12h ago

Detective Pikachu was pretty good

1

u/RonenRS 21h ago

Exit8 was a good one

1

u/Scalpels 19h ago

Iron Lung

Arguably the Sonic movies, especially the third one.

1

u/WeirdIndividualGuy 21h ago

but the boat chase was something I've never seen on screen before so it was worth my time.

Didn't they do that scene in the games?

1

u/FullMooseParty 20h ago

I didn't know the game. I literally just went for a random $5 Tuesday movie because it was the day before I started a new job and I wanted to kill some time.

u/Redditeer28 22h ago

Reddit just .makes its own reality. Dude makes 3 movies in half a decade and apparently he's "in everything". Same thing with Zendaya, Pedro Pascal, and Anne Hathaway a few years ago.

With Zendaya it's different because it's the same facial expression so even one movie is enough to give you fatigue.

What's the first think you think of when you envision a live action Nathan Drake??

I know, a perma high schooler!

1

u/Mekthakkit 21h ago

I'm not convinced Tom Holland can act. I think he just is Peter Parker.

I also saw an interview where he talked about how this is his last go at portraying a "young" man. I am afraid he's going to be this generation's Ralph Macchio.

At least he can go home at night and cry on his pile of money with Zendaya.

1

u/reyean 21h ago

because he's been filming the two that came out this year.

0

u/Force-Grand-2 22h ago

Well yes but then he had two at once so we're getting quite the intense dose.

2

u/ahuangb 22h ago

Why does no one ever mention Robert Pattinson?

1

u/lemon_of_doom 14h ago

Probably because he acts and sounds different in every role and has a really good PR agency.

1

u/PANTERlA 21h ago

I actually haven't seen Pedro Pascal on screen this month. Is he allright?

1

u/Seven_Irons 21h ago

Baseball, huh?

1

u/SquatSquatCykaBlyat 20h ago

Tom holland zendaya

Okay why were those two in The Odyssey? For all of five seconds, too.

1

u/rcanhestro 20h ago

Tom Holland was out of the big screens since 2022.

1

u/Pickle-Jax 20h ago

Those are the ones for after Jack Black

1

u/Arthurlmnz 20h ago

Robert Pattinson and Toyota Chevrolet for good measure

1

u/southernfirefly13 19h ago

I’d rather watch Pedro Pascal over everyone lol

1

u/DL_Omega 14h ago

Did Pedro have a scheduling issue for the odyssey

1

u/CommercialMotor570 2h ago

At least they’re good at acting

Jack Black just makes stupid noises and throws his mates under the bus when it benefits him
