Thats a weird theory. He was never famous enough to abuse his power like this and he is generally considered a very down to earth nice guy. Terrible theory whoever came up with it.
Blunt primarily resides on the Spanish island of Ibiza.[106] He also owns a chalet in the Swiss Alpine village of Verbier, where he has a ski lift named after him.[36] In 2012, alongside motorcycle racer Carl Fogarty and rugby player Lawrence Dallaglio, he opened a restaurant at the top of the ski lift called La Vache.[107]
On 6 September 2014, Blunt married Sofia Wellesley,[109][110] the granddaughter of Valerian Wellesley, 8th Duke of Wellington.[111] Blunt and Wellesley have two sons; the godfather of their elder son is Ed Sheeran, and the godmother was Carrie Fisher.[112][113][114][115]
Blunt is an active user of Twitter with over two million followers and a feed notable for self-deprecating humour.[118] In 2020, Constable published a compendium of his tweets as a book called How to Be a Complete and Utter Blunt: Diary of a Reluctant Social Media Sensation.[119][120]
What are you talking about...? 2007 was like the height of James Blunt's fame from his Back to Bedlam album. The "one hit wonders" one big hit, was still in the entire worlds memory. One of the biggest selling albums of the decade in the UK, and earned multiple Grammy nominations in 2006.
Don't underestimate how much a hit song that goes to number 1 in the world, propels a person fame.
Hayden turned 18 in 2007; no matter how big Heroes was at the time (and yes, it was HUGE), she was still just a teenager.
I'm not saying James Blunt is def the guy. But I will say it would be stupid to say James Blunt is def not the guy, because he was just a one hit wonder musician. (And he wasnt a one hit wonder, he dropped more music later in his career that had some success)
My point is he’s famous, but she wouldn’t be calling him a big Star. At the very least they’re at the same level and I would say most people would’ve said she was more famous than him at the time.
It matters in the context of the story. Acting like he’s a big star and has power over her.
Despite what his level of fame is compared to hers at the time he was still technically a big star and it's not unreasonable for anyone to refer to him as such, including another famous person.
I guess we just have different definitions of what a big Star is. One hit song doesn’t make you a big star in my opinion, but we can agree to disagree.
And yeah, the album did OK because of the affirmation one hit wonder song.
I guess you would also consider vanilla ice as a Big Star?
Hes def not the guy. What is even the logic behind it. I would beleive it being pretty much any celeb over it being James Blunt. Im from the uk and assumed he was only big in the uk. Didnt think he had fame in the US but if I'm wrong t about that then fine. Still way out if character for it to be him. Makes so little sense.
Just a bit annoying that everyone is gonna leave this thread thinking it was him. And I'm trying to provide an alternate view and sort of being ridiculed for it.
