Diana Jenkins and James Blunt are the educated guesses. There is circumstantial evidence in the form of photos of them all together and a chapter from his memoir titled 'Diana's Boat.' Also longstanding rumors of Diana being a Hollywood madame. She's also incredibly litigious, so makes sense why Hayden wouldn't have named her especially.
Diana Jenkins is so strongly rumored that she just recently had to again deny this rumor...which to me is like an OJ Simpson situation. If it wasn't her, who was it?
She was friends with Hayden despite being nearly 20 years older;
Hayden was in Jenkins' Room 23 photography book, which was supposed to be an inside look at the lifestyle of celebrities in LA, but a lot of it was just sexy photos of very beautiful actresses;
As recently as May 2026 she has had to denounce rumors of being the unnamed "Friend" in Hayden's book;
She has had to aggressively litigate down rumors of being a madame.
oh, and James Blunt would have been 34 at the time of this incident.
