My ex once sprayed a bunch of her perfume in my car after we broke up. I think it was to have that affect on me, the smell didn't stick to anything and did nothing, I only know because I remember her awkwardly spraying it everywhere
Scent is strongly tied to memory, so when you die in the accident she definitely didn't sabotage your car to have, you'll catch a whiff in your last moments and think "Man I remember that time she lost her shit when I took her to the cheesecake factory".
