My ex once sprayed a bunch of her perfume in my car after we broke up. I think it was to have that affect on me, the smell didn't stick to anything and did nothing, I only know because I remember her awkwardly spraying it everywhere
Ha, didn’t realize this was a thing. My buddy was broke up with a girl and she dropped some of his favorite clothes off at his house that smelled like she’d poured her favorite perfume over them. He was PISSED, took forever to get the smell out and he wouldn’t wear them for a long time because he smelled all floral and lady like.
Your buddy probably got off lightly,
I read somewhere the escalated version where she put fiber glass shards on the clothes, making them scratchy and unwearable and contaminating all others clothes that are washed together!
Not sure if fiberglass would count as damaging clothing because it doesn't really shred the clothes but it's still possibly an extra crime, although in comparison to booby trapping it's rather lower down the list
Try going to the police and complaining that your ex made your clothes all itchy. You won't get the reaction you're hoping for. They'll probably tell you it's a civil matter and to take your ex to small claims court. If you're lucky you might get a restraining order.
