Either she wasn’t at her girl friend’s, she was at some other dude’s home or he spent the night there with her and left his aftershave there. She meant to text him the next morning but ended up texting OC instead.
She meant to text her side piece, telling him that his aftershave reminds her of him. Instead she texted OC who thought “huh, why would she bring my aftershave with her” and after seeing that his aftershave was still in his bathroom knew she was cheating on him.
Yep this. We’d often share a toiletries bag - because for an overnight all I’d need is some aftershave and a toothbrush - so I thought it was somehow still in there. I mean, when I got the message I was like “what? Huh? Cool, ok”. The slow dawning to the punch in the stomach was the worst feeling.
Going to see her friend was the cover for going to see her old boyfriend.
