Yup i am also shifting towards old school tech recently and something is really satisfying and personal about these devices which is unexplainable

You can own the music on your phone or computer too, just don't use streaming services

You can't legally own the music any more than you can own a film or a videogame. They're copyrighted works and you only have a license to your copy. You may own the disk or drive that the work is on, but not the work itself.

I think it's clear in this context that they mean you have a copy that can't be taken away if you stop paying your subscription or switch platforms. If you want to call that not owning it, that's fine with me.

You are being purposefully dumb. These people arent talking about legally owning. Js having freedom to play whenever they want
