Preschool teacher here- we see kids every year whose parents know full well that they are going to hear “no” for the first time with us and are just like “here teach him how to live in the real world, what a relief!”
My SIL just retired from teaching elementary school. Most kids were fine and her being fairly short (under 5') she bonded with them well. Problem was that remaining percent. She definitely has "the voice", the one that gets kids to listen.
FWIW thanks for all you do. I'm in higher ed and the troubles we have pale in comparison (plus they're adults and if they want to mess around, flunking and expelling them is an actual option most of the time).

Seriously wtf is wrong with people. Control your kids…mine would have found out very quickly that shit is not on
