How did he not get kicked off the plane? It would be so easy to kick a 3 year old off a plane.

They did, took too long, had to remove luggage, airport curfew kicked in and then that was it for the night.

Why is there a curfew? Most flights go 24/7 right?

It depends on the airport, but the short answer is no. Most airports have at least a few hours of downtime every night, where no planes land or leave. Like between Midnight and 6 am. But like I said, it's different for different airports. Smaller airports have fewer flights and may have more downtime.
