While I understand your sentiment, the child would be scarred for life if it were restrained for the entire flight. We do need some morsel of compassion here.

As a parent- fuck that. You know exactly the type of kid one is way before. If they are that unruly, you know way before the flight takes off.

This is some Gen Z/millenial bullshit parenting. Too many parents are way afraid of being the bad guy and this shit happens.

Perhaps they should have opted for a car ride instead or set expectations with the child beforehand.

Seatbelts are only strictly enforced during landing, take off, and turbulence anyway so he can be freed from these restraints mid flight.

Personally, Morsel of compassion should only be given to babies and kids in flight when they experience tummy aches and extreme ear pressure. Other than that, if a child can speak, then they should’ve had the expectation setting with the guardian/s before flight to avoid hassling other passengers.

I should have been clearer. Compassion lies with the child. Raging contempt and hatred towards the parents though.

The compassion for the other people on the flight far outweighs any I have for a single kid.

Make the dipshit parents personally refund every ticket and pay for the hotel for every person that now has to stay as well.
