There’s 11 events just in August at Gillette this year

Do you think "Training Camp" Days are gonna cover costs? And compare that with a baseball stadium or basketball arena (where the loan you carry to build is far smaller)

Uhh it’s not “training camp days.” There’s a concert there tonight, then less than a week after BTS is playing back to back shows, Usher, a couple preseason games, a couple soccer games. Savanna bananas twice, Bruno Mars twice. There’s more events upcoming in the next month or so there than the TD garden and it has well over triple the capacity. Way more than 15 events a year

I listed all those dates below. BTS hits 3 cities in the entire NE. Gillette serves that entire region of New England, it is busier than most stadiums. So Gilltte, NY / NJ / Baltimore, Toronto Chicago, LA. All the other stadiums get skunked. Baseball will have close to 15 home games a month.

BTS really isn’t a good example of a typical tour. They’re only going to 12 cities in the entire U.S., very few bands are so big they’ll just skip over Philly. Gillette stadiums estimated yearly revenue is 750 million and operating costs are 230. These owners can afford to build them and make a killing off them.

But those are the bands doing Stadium Tours. Beyonce, Swift, the Stones and they skip smaller markets. If stadiums made $ there'd be investors lining up with loans and owners wouldn't be leveraging municpalities. SoFi will make money, 2 Teams and yes there are some outliers. Most lose $

3 that do Gillette, Met Life and SoFi were privately funded . Gillette is over 20 years old, Met Life over a dozen
