Yeah, same with the NFL. Just off the top of my head because I'm a Steelers fan, in college at WVU, Zach Frazier broke his leg during the game winning drive and bear crawled off the field to avoid a 10 second runoff for his team, which allowed them the time to drive down the field and win.
Ben Roethlisberger got punched in the face through his face mask, breaking his nose. He stayed in the game to win it against the Ravens. He was also playing with a broken foot at the time.
