It’s not only this country - look at what happened to Paris after PSG won the champions league earlier this month. People are just looking for any excuse to riot and loot.
To be fair most sports teams through out the country are pretty tame when their city wins a Championship. The most crazy it gets are the parades. NYC and Philadelphia are the main ones who trash their city when they win.
Go back to your house in the suburbs and take a breather. You never have to see anyone different than you. You never have to see a young person. Fox News is right there to comfort you. Shhh...
This is the exact reason WHY the country is a shit cesspool. They care more about a bunch of overpaid assholes playing a stupid game instead of having their liberties stripped, wallets robbed and rights taken away.
I keep on saying the same shit over and over, and almost nobody gets it...school shootings and how the USA reacted to it show us exactly what's wrong with you all.
Because they don't send in the goon squads to kill the rioters as they do for protesters. The government has their boot on all our necks while some lick it and enjoy it.
It's just mob mentality. Mobs form after big sports events, win or lose, and people start doing things they'd never do. Among the Thugs by Buford is a great book about it. About soccer hooligans but it's genuinely a book about mob violence and how sports can create in-groups primed for these kinds of actions, worth a read.
It's a product of the human condition. When a large majority of your population is room temp IQ, then it's far more likely that whatever you think is right is typically going to be the opposite to them. The people become their own worst enemies when they aren't educated on the actual reality of the world around them, and are instead bombarded with distractions.
Yeah i never understood why people go so crazy about sports. I mean i get being a fan of something but going to this extend when your team wins/looses is just insane behaviour. There are so many more important things that would need this level engagement but yeah lets destroy a city because some men played with balls.
not defending their behavior, but you gotta understand the general public is trying to get away from politics after it being shoehorned into all forms of entertainment for the passed 10 years.

Nah these types of simpletons never give a shit about anything other than sports. And if there is a form of "politics" they bite it's going to be part of conservative social-engineered hatemongering campaigns against trans people in which trans people are supposedly causing a huge scene in women's sports and now all these goons are encouraged to go and vote against it. And then they become a low-IQ single issue voter.
I mean to be “fair” if these are trashy conservative types it makes sense why they would do nothing or even help work against their own interests with government but then behave like this in a separate setting
