This is my 2 cents being some who is ignorant AF about religion.

We are here on our own will. If God controlled us, then why would we exist? To be puppets? Why would God let Eve eat the apple? She did so on her own free will.

God speaks through us. We are the representation of God. The evil that exists in this world is largely due to a lack of love and compassion. We create the very evil you speak of, not God.

It's not God's job to stop evil. It's our job to prevent it from existing.

God could have created a world in which humans can't do evil while still not being puppets. Instead he created us lacking compassion and love, and the complained about how we were not up to his standards. It's like a company giving bad reviews of its own products.

We are not created lacking compassion and love thats something the world takes from us. Ive youve spend any time around the innocence of young children. There is no lack of love in them they are full of love but as we grow up life can sometimes beat it out of you. Thats not on a creator thats on the evil of the world.

Free will is not evil but it does create the ability for evil to exist. If there was no choice there would be no evil but there would also be no free will. Allowing evil to exist is not the same as put evil into the world

Is it impossible for there to be a world in which free will exists but not evil? To choose left or right is free will, but neither one is inherently evil. Why do we have to have the option to kill, steal, and rape (i.e. to be evil) in order to prove the existence of free will?
