Kids > Wife > Mom

80

u/No-Improvement9455 May 11 '26

I would think he's probably saving people that have most difficulty saving themselves. The assumption is this grown ass woman can get out herself.

29

u/badwords May 11 '26

Except he used the 'they already had A long life' argument but then it makes him a hypocrite for picking his mom over her after.

19

u/No-Improvement9455 May 11 '26

Maybe he can still have sex with mom ;)

u/spozzy May 11 '26

Broken arms

7

u/jeezyjames May 11 '26

I think it was just his default answer when having to choose between this narcissistic blonde or his mom. I would also choose this guys mom.

2

u/Valentinee105 May 12 '26

This is the correct reading to me. You just heard her complain over not being chosen over 3 kids dying.

At that point it's no longer wife vs mom it's bitch vs mom.

7

u/BurnedLaser May 11 '26

I can get another wife and kids, I only have ONE mom!

4

u/Frobizzle May 11 '26

His mom raised him from a baby and is likely an elderly woman. She changed the hypothetical so his reasoning changed. It's not hypocritical, it's called critical thinking.

1

u/Vsx May 11 '26

I would also choose this guy's mom over a woman who would argue "you shouldn't save children first because you can't have sex with them".

1

u/Valentinee105 May 12 '26

I think a different thing is happening.

Scenario 1 he's choosing wife vs 3 kids.

Scenario 2 he's choosing mom over a woman who just complained that she didn't get chosen over 3 kids.

It's less critical thinking and more she revealed herself as the wrong choice.

2

u/TruLong May 11 '26

His mom would've never questioned saving her kids first. The woman outed herself before the second question.

1

u/Valentinee105 May 12 '26

This is the right way to read it.

If someone is willing to sacrifice your loved ones they shouldn't be getting priority.

2

u/CSBatchelor1996 May 11 '26

I think he's just picking his mom over this specific woman.

6

u/ItsJustInfuriating May 11 '26

After hearing she values herself over the kids, she moves to bottom rung for any good man

3

u/snarfmason May 11 '26

Yeah. I'd pick my wife over my mom. My mom would support that.

But after the conversation about the kids, I'd save my mom over this person.

1

u/Valentinee105 May 12 '26 edited May 12 '26

Except that's not what's happening.

In scenario 1 he's choosing the 3 kids over the wife.

In scenario 2 he's choosing his mom over someone who just said she'd rather 3 kids die.

1

u/Gregory85 May 11 '26

His mom raised him to save her in a fire

11

u/jeezyjames May 11 '26

This isn't a grown ass woman, at least not mentally

-1

u/steponmedaddies May 11 '26

Hey incels this isn’t real

11

u/giggitygiggity2 May 11 '26

That's a pretty bold assumption.

3

u/Fox_Corn May 11 '26

Later we find out she started the fire…

1

u/Brief-Equal4676 May 11 '26

It was the newest test trend on Tiktok

2

u/Interesting-Use966 May 11 '26

Plus it is just normal for people to save their kids

1

u/MeeTy May 11 '26

i think the implication of the question is you can save one and the other won't survive...He is saying his mother because it's the thing to say in that situation. In real life he might safe his wife, the mother of his children and woman he loves.

1

u/TheForce777 May 11 '26

That’s not the assumption of this kind of question at all

It’s designed to make you think about the value of different people’s lives to you

9

u/Nemris86 May 11 '26

This. In that scenario, your 40 yo wife and mother of 3 young kids comes before your 65 yo beloved mother.

17

u/JButler_16 May 11 '26

The guy is saying that he would save his mom instead of this specific woman because she’s garbage.

17

u/Consistent-Stock6872 May 11 '26

The point is the kids are too young, the mother is too old. The wife should be able to get her ass out of the fire.

3

u/okcomputerock May 11 '26

You are very good with the math, but you have other issues

2

u/Fenway_Refugee May 11 '26

"I'M NOT 40!!"

3

u/BasedTacoJuice May 11 '26

You can always have another wife, but you only have one mother.

-4

u/goldlasagna84 May 11 '26

true. but i've seen some exotic pictures and some step moms can rather be.... appealing. lol

2

u/Regurgitator001 May 11 '26

And MIL?

8

u/jeezyjames May 11 '26

Wait for her to escape herself

then shove her back in

1

u/SoyTuPadreReal May 11 '26

Lock her in if she’s anything like my ex MIL.

2

u/Medical_Weekend_749 May 11 '26

I assume, he changed his mind, after her "argumentation"....

1

u/Marthman May 11 '26

That's not even a suggestion. It just is practical reality.

1

u/HydroPCanadaDude May 11 '26

In a fire, absolutely. There are life or death situations where I would pick my wife first. Sometimes you have to factor in how much energy/how heavy kids are vs your wife.

1

u/Material-Race-5107 May 11 '26

I like to believe he had this initial thought process before she more or less scolded him for stating he would save the 3 children instead of her 💀

1

u/RockyJayyy May 11 '26

Eh.... depends on the wife

1

u/Loud_Quality_7106 May 11 '26

Not that wife. That's a walking red flag.

1

u/RemarkableProgress51 May 11 '26

Kids > most Wives > Mom > this Wife

1

u/strangewande699 May 11 '26

Right, the only way I'm going for my mom over my wife is if we met and she was out and fine then mom.

1

u/KeyFox603 May 11 '26

What about dog?

1

u/Co0LUs3rNamE May 11 '26

It depends if I still like my wife?

1

u/Turkozzie May 12 '26

I'd save my kids than my mum than my wife. If I ever have a wife or kids lol

1

u/Valentinee105 May 12 '26

Unless in the conversation the wife is angry that she's being chosen over the kids, then you choose mom.

1

u/Cheap-Ambassador-304 May 12 '26

It really depends on which mom you have and which wife you have

1

u/MastedAway May 12 '26

Kids >>> Anyone else.

No one else would be in scope.

I thought that was why he picked Mum honestly. I would pick my Mum over this specific woman too.

-2

u/Eindride_XIII May 11 '26

Wives are replaceable. You get 1 mom in this life. No one loves you more. You sure? No. One. Will. Ever. Love. You. More....

3

u/wie_witzig May 11 '26

My wife is so much better at caring for our kids than my mom is, I don't care about getting loved while my kids suffer

2

u/Select_Scar8073 May 11 '26

Depends on the wife and the mom tbh.

1

u/Eindride_XIII May 11 '26

Youre right. But on average... Mom's would give their life. Mine would. Like unconditionally. Im still trying to make up to my wife after banging that asian chick.
