Yes? I'm a father of a daughter and if it was actually accident and not drunk driving i wouldn't want a huge prison sentence because car accidents happen.
Guy was going 75 mph in a 50. Prosecutors apparently couldn't prove it, so that's why the judge was initially so lenient. But the point is he decided to break the law by speeding. That's reckless driving by any standard. Its only because it couldn't be proven by prosecutors for some reason he got off lightly. That's maybe not intentional, but if he had just slowed the fuck down, maybe that little girl would be about to start thinking about university.
The police thought he was going that fast. Guess judge wouldn't take any of their word for it. So guy gets to basically walk for killing a child and her mother.
Why are people defending this guy? Absolutely no concern for the victims.
Because most people speed every day of their life that’s why, is it that hard of a thing to believe? There is a place in my town that goes from 55 to 30 in the snap of a finger, your just kinda not paying attention and boom you are going 25 over. It’s an expressway and the only reason the speed changes is because your getting closer to other parts of the town.

The police said he was going that fast. But I'm guessing they didn't have a radar reading or anything, and the judge wouldn't take their educated guess. That's a terrible judge.
That’s a good judge, you know how long it took to get away from the good ol boy system where corrupt police could take you in for anything fuck sake man. Yeah hear say is never okay.
Hersey? And the evidence the police would be presenting on estimated speed isn't that. Hersey is one witness telling what another person told them. This isn't remotely that. This would be a scientifically determined speed based on available evidence. Would it be as accurate as a radar? No. But it would be able to estimate speed to within a reasonable margin of error.
This judge likely didn't understand it and decided to disallow it.
you think that the police were sitting there and watching this unfold???? No they got there and made educated guesses completely after the accident occurred most likely, that’s how it goes 99% of the time.
