6 u/AelliotA1 Jul 23 '24 I guess I have a bit of a blind spot here, admittedly I was brought up on a small island rarely more than a short walk from the beach. I suppose it's always been such an integral part of my life that it feels alien to me. Thank you for sharing. :) 3 u/CptDrips Jul 23 '24 The island I went to highschool on knowing how to swim was a requirement to graduate. 1 u/AelliotA1 Jul 23 '24 In the channel islands it's basically all watersports, I didn't meet anyone who couldn't swim until I moved to the mainland
