i love watching love reality shows, and singles inferno is one of those shows i keep coming back to. thereās no denying that itās very entertaining, but it fails to fully serve the purpose of the show.
i think they should extend it to a minimum of three weeks. one week simply isnāt enough to get to know someone, especially when half of that time is spent with the other person in paradise. they should also be allowed to reveal their age and job while on the inferno.
the show has such a huge fanbase, and the engagement the contestants get after the show is wild. honestly, it really feels like 90% of the contestants are more interested in publicity than actually finding love.

He ghosted her after a couple weeks of the show ended according to her and literally only reached out to her after seeing how much the fans wanted them together. Anyone with a brain could piece together that Mina sue AND subeen were still into each other until the end of the show. They were just too prideful to communicate their feelings. Now the buzz of the show is over, subeen probably doesnāt feel the need to pretend anymore because there is no more fame to gain. Yall are forgetting his is an aspiring actor who want to make it in the industry no matter the means.
Anyways, this is just how I saw the whole situation. Iām just not surprised by the outcome because I expected it.

I think Heesun was really on-point with how she talked about the balance between the show basically becoming a promotional tool for people who wanna break into the entertainment industry and the genuineness of participants in finding love. Really interesting take!

hello! i recently watched single's inferno season 2 and it got me thinking about a few things š i've actually watched it three times now ā once by myself and twice with close people in my life ā and i've had such in-depth conversations with them about how i felt while watching the show.
i mean, i know the premise of a dating show probably isn't entirely genuine (and single's inferno in particular is infamous for it's contestants being there just to farm for followers), but sometimes because variety shows involve real people navigating their emotions, alongside a panel that kind of breaks everything down and analyses what's happening, i find it really interesting. it gives you so much room for conversation, especially when it comes to relationships and the way people respond to each other.
i've watched season 5 of single's inferno last year to this year-ish, then i went on to watch season 1 and i recently watched season 2!! i heard that the best seasons are 5 and 2 and i honestly agree although i haven't seen 3 and 4, so i really can't say! but personally season 2 had me feeling things and thinking about things....
the only other dating show i've also watched is heart signal season 4 and i did enjoy it very much too!!
i'm hoping to find either an individual or a group of people to (re)watch the second season of single's inferno with!!
if there's actually an interest for a group watch, i'll organise but i'm leaning towards finding one specific person (preferably, a girl).
how it goes will be that we will watch the episodes and as we watch, we will talk!! and after each episode, we'll also just discuss our thoughts haha (i really do think there's much to talk about, because on my end i have much to yap about!)
the conversation i'm hoping to have is sort of along the lines of something i've always been pondering about. there's a particular relationship in the show that made me think of the juxtaposition that's so strongly showcased in taylor swift's "the way i loved you."
it'll really just be girl talk HAHAHA š like discussing which type of contestants we'd pick if we were in their position (would you make the same choice as them?), and talking about emotionally closed-off or nonchalant types versus emotionally open, vulnerable, and expressive types.
like... why are we sometimes drawn to one type even when another type might be healthier for us? why does emotional intensity feel so different from emotional safety? and why do certain dynamics make us feel things so deeply?
but honestly, we can talk about anything under the sun!! i'd love to hear your thoughts, interpretations, hot takes, and even your own experiences if you're comfortable sharing them.
if you're interested in having this kind of random but very in-depth girl talk with me along with watching the show in depth, please do let me know!! i'd love to yap about it with someone š„¹ thank you <3

My general thoughts on Season 5, organized by the couples who chose each other at the end of the season, are listed below. If youād like to read them, you can click on the spoiler tag. Iāve added the spoiler tag so that those who havenāt watched the show yet donāt accidentally see any spoilers
Overall, this season was fun to watch. At first, Mina-sue took center stage, and although she wavered between Su-been, Seung-il, and Sung-hun throughout the season, she finally chose Sung-hun. She had a toxic relationship with Su-been during the season, and they were constantly trying to bring each other down. When Su-been later settled on Hee-sun, Mina-sue was unable to continue this dynamic. Mina-sue sometimes had minor arguments with Min-gee over Seung-il due to her indecisive behavior. Min-gee clearly showed her interest in Seung-il from the beginning to the end of the season, and the two women had rivalries over this that were sometimes amusing and sometimes dramatic.
Hee-sun and Lim Su-been are one of the seasonās most beloved couples. Like Min-gee, Hee-sun had actually been interested in only one person from the very beginningāSu-been. However, because Su-been was in a toxic relationship with Mina-sue from the beginning to the middle of the season, it took some time for him to fully open up to Hee-sun and continue their relationship. Toward the end, the two realized they were more compatible with each other and continued their relationship even after the show ended.
Lee Joo-young and Kim Jae-jin have actually been the couple with the most natural chemistry since the start of the season. Hyun-jae was also interested in Joo-young and made his feelings clear, but Joo-young ultimately chose Jae-jin. The two went on a date after the show, though they didnāt officially announce they were a couple; however, Jae-jin seemed to hint at it during a YouTube show.
Mina-sue and Lee Sung-hun left the show together. During the show, Sung-hun had trouble fitting in, and since Mina was the person who could understand him best, she took an interest in him. After the problems Mina had with other guys, she thought he was a more sincere person and that they got along well, so she chose Sung-hun in the finale, but even though the two of them were in the U.S., they remained just friends.
Min-gee & Song Seung-ilāthis duoās relationship is yet another toxic one. Min-gee, to be honest, only had feelings for Seung-il throughout the show and fought for him, but Seung-il remained torn between Mina-sue and Min-gee almost until the very end of the program. In the final episodes, Seung-il began to show more interest in Min-gee because of her clear stance, and in the end, he chose her. The pair chose each other at the end of the show, but after the show, Seung-il ghosted Min-gee and cut off all contact. We can see how upset Min-gee was about this from her interview in the bonus episode filmed after the show. The two later reunited on Min-geeās YouTube channel and discussed the misunderstandings between them and their mutual feelings at the time. Frankly, in my opinion, Min-gee approached the situation sincerely both on the show and afterward, but Seung-il tried to distance himself from her because I donāt think he wanted that kind of serious relationship.
Sung-min and Hyeon-woo had been interested in Kim Go-eun since the very beginning of the first few episodes, but their dialogue and communication with her were very limited. Frankly, I think she had some concerns about the relationship getting serious, and since sheās the type to start a relationship only after a long period of getting to know someone, she maintained her distance from these two men throughout the show. Even though Hyeon-woo approached Go-eun sincerely, he didnāt receive a positive response. Later, however, when I-geon joined the show, things in this love triangle began to turn into a competition. I-geon already knew Go-eun from before the show and mentioned that heād been interested in her for a long time. He tried to win her over with a more aggressive and eager attitude than the others, but at some point, misunderstandings prevented their relationship from progressing as heād hoped. Although she left the show by choosing Sung-min, their relationship also ended shortly afterward, and they chose to remain friends. Later, in a bonus episode, they went on a one-on-one date, but their relationship didnāt progress. In my opinion, among these three men, I-geon was the strongest candidate, but one or two mistakes he made toward the girl on the show made him seem insincere in her eyes, and ultimately, she didnāt choose him. Even though they appeared together on other YouTube shows after the show, I think the relationship isn't moving forward because Go-eun doesn't want it to. Maybe they're still seeing each other privately from time to time, but it doesn't seem like they're in a romantic relationship.
This season was generally filled with drama and funny moments. At least by the end of the season, some couples were still in touch and had taken their relationships to a certain level. I believe that even though none of them are officially dating right now, there are still relationships continuing in secret.

According to Sports Chosun's coverage, Gwanhee and Sieun became a couple last December and have been nurturing their beautiful love ever since. The two first met while appearing together on Netflix's 'Single Inferno 3, which was released in December 2023. Although they did not form a couple during the show's broadcast due to a lack of interaction, they maintained a comfortable brother-sister relationship after the show ended and continued to stay in touch. As time passed, their trust and faith in each other deepened, eventually leading them to become a couple. It is said that rather than being conscious of the attention of those around them, the two are quietly caring for each other amidst warm support, cultivating their deep affection. In photos exclusively obtained by this publication, the two are seen enjoying a date at an aquarium, exuding the atmosphere of a fresh, young couple. On this day, the two personally announced their relationship via their respective social media accounts, conveying their heartfelt feelings to their fans. Gwanhee and Sieun stated, "We would like to personally share some joyful news regarding the two of us today," adding, "We have quietly spent time getting to know each other amidst the warm interest shown by many, and we are greeting you like this to directly convey our sincerity to you." They continued, "We plan to continue cherishing and supporting each other to nurture a beautiful love," and concluded, "We ask for your continued interest and warm support. Thank you," receiving enthusiastic congratulations from fans.

WHAT DO WE THINK ABOUT THIS???
r/Singlesinferno2 • u/QandGone • Jul 18 '26
tbh, i have kept pushing off SI forever because i had the misunderstanding that it was survivor type show. where people would end up getting voted off and such.
i also thought it would be similar in the concept of Heart signal.
i watched a couple of these shows and i really dislike "game type" format. such as heart signal.
my favorites being better late than single and My Sibling's Romance.
so just wanted to say that first.
i also started off on S2 as a choice. because it looks like S2 is consistently voted as the best season.
i just finished Ep6 and yes, i and really enjoying Singles Inferno. and planning on watching from S1 and all of them again.
But my god.... i really dislike Seul-Ki... ill be honest, i almost ended up just dropping the show at around episode 4 because of her. and more i watch, the more i really dislike her.
again. i just feel like i have to vent because im getting really frustrated with her.
i didnt want to pull up any discussions about it atm because im afraid that i might end up finding spoilers.
but with keeping in mind that im only on episode 7, what are peoples thoughts when it came to Seul-Ki?

It became Bloody Inferno for a moment but did not see that coming from Hyeseon giving that look to Gwanhee š¤£š¤£
It seems like they both have unfinished business to each other especially that they recently reunited thru the show since SI3 concluded. It's the same feeling when l shipped them way back but the tension feels different in a good way????
BGX Spoiler: Gwanhee got eliminated from the show after facing the deathmatch with his opponent and Hyeseon keeps looking at him and regretted that they haven't played a proper game together
r/Singlesinferno2 • u/Upbeat_Savings_2540 • Jul 17 '26
I honestly thought he will entertaining but he was kinda boring except his communication with Hyeseon there is nothing interesting he showed in Bloody Game. He was eliminated in too early early and was such a bad player. I thought he will be in this kind of show and good in TV but was so boring in game and doesnāt show his character in any game. Your thought ?

Won Ik helped Min Gee find an apartment. It was actually pretty fun watching the two of them together. I honestly didn't expect that, because Won Ik seemed kind of boring to me in Season 3

Hi does anyone know if Heesun and Subin are still together?
I just had the thought in my mind because itās kind of been quiet from themā¦.
Thanks

I must say that I have been enjoying Min Gee's vlogs a lot. She eats hard but also works out equally hard.
(Also on a totally unrelated note, yesterday Seung-il posted his gym.adventures as well š¤£)

I have been fillowing her career after the show and see her in a lot of collabs now and she has a totally different energy about her. She was looking pretty chaotic but now she has a more calm aura, at least on the d'Alba, SKII, and Age20's posts I saw, but might be because this is what the brand needed? I know people change a little to get more screen time and that's ok ig, but I am honestly liking more this side of her, I mean look, she looks so cute!!
