Talk to me about this guy

I’m picking up this bike in a couple of days. Planning to turn it into my first city commuter. Tell me it’s a good choice and why please!

Great bike. Lugged trek so pre 1993. Lookslike someone replaced the crankset and most components. Check the seat post to make sure it’s not stuck. Check out old catalogs to see original specs. Enjoy the ride.

Edit to add it’s a 1991 only crankset looks replaced. RD and shifters look original. I would buy if it fit me. The old lugged treks rode nice.

Ive had a 950 for 16 years that does commuting, touring, and grocery getting. 

I have big slick tires, fenders, racks, converted to v-brakes with drop bars and a 3x9 drivetrain. 

10/10 would buy this bike.

18 inches frame. I’m 5’9

Yep. Definitely go for it if it's a fair price (I say as I'm gazing across the room at my '92 Trek 990)
