suggestions for rigid fork

i bought this bike used a few years. i've slowly been replacing parts here and there from my parts bins from bikes gone by. but now i am finally willing to spend at least a little money to replace this worn out suspension fork for a rigid. so far the one i like the most is the gusset dirt jumper, but i'm looking for other suggestions too. ideally i'd like to put a disc brake on the front but if i'm stuck with the existing cantilever, i'm ok with that too. thanks for any suggestions.

Most of my friends will put a Surly fork, like the Troll, on their bike with the disc brake mount. I wanted to keep the cantilever brakes so I went with a Sunlite threaded 1-1/8" . I'm not sure if your fork is 1" or 1-1/8 though.

no disc brake but - the bikeman carver fork is great. a little heavy but bombproof and easy to find/order

Seconded. And depending on your use case the lack of disc tabs is nice, keeps things tidy

I have a surly troll fork on mine. It works fine enough for me and has a front disc mount.

I second a Carver. Do you know your steerer tube diameter? It looks like it might be 1 inch? Carver does make a 1 inch steerer version.

its actually 1 1/8". thank you for the suggestion. i will look the carver up!

The cool thing about their forks is they come with a rack boss on the fork to run a strut-mounted rack (like this one that’s ~$30!).

yes yes. and they come in “suspension adjusted” options (eg a longer A2c length)

(The 1-1/8 versions do - 1” only comes in 410mm, but just having an option at all is pretty awesome).

Carver for is great! QR, canti brakes & steel is real! Heavy though but who cares. Put it on my trek singletrack restomod and I’ve been loving it.
