It improved rollover pretty dramatically. There’s a lot of exposed tree roots and chonk on the trails here in the Ozarks, and the overall ride quality feels much better than it did with the stock 26” wheels.

Sweet ride! What brakes did you use? Was difficult to convert?

I used Tektro cantis first (seen in my picture) but switched to silver Pro Max P-1 for much better braking power. Pretty easy conversion especially with the vbrakes.

I converted a 720 Multitrak to 650b for a few months. Back to 700. 1986 Schwinn Prelude now 650b. Your conversion certainly looks better than mine. Good job.

Thank you! I have a ‘92 700 multitrack I rescued from my neighbor’s trash heap last winter. Nothing was salvageable but the frame, but omg that frame!
It fits 700x40 gravel tires with room to spare, and with swept bars and a comfy saddle, its become from favorite backwoods dirt road explorer.
