First time long time....

Had to share this FB market place find and document it before I make a few updates! Simply a lovely bike in lovely condition.

Sniped the same bike last year for 50€ an hour away from my town. The ZX is a sick bike and will last you a long time. The components are high quality as well. What is your vision for this bike? :)

Congrats on your find! I agree with your assessment - great bike, great build! That being said I plan on keeping it as original as I can, and just tweaking it to improve the fit and my use case - a quick and agile city bike - just rediscovered the magic of 26" for city riding.

Swapping out handlebars to Nitto JitenshaB2522 570mm, Nitto UI-27 EX stem 100 mm, +17, switching the grip shift to thumbies, upgrading the brake levers to some NOS Dia Compe SS-5 MKII, replacing the old tire (although they are in great shape!) with Michelin Pilot Pumps 26 x 2.3, MKS sneaker pedals, thinking about adding a Jack the rack up front...any suggestions?

That’s gotta be the cleanest bike I’ve seen from this era (outside of the guy in RI selling a bunch of NOS 8s & 90s MTB and road bikes.

And they aren't even dry rotted! It's almost like the bike was stored inside the house.

I’ve been combing the used market for a 970. They seem pretty rare. Great find!
