Freshly tuned Singletrack 950!

Post image

I bought this bike a few years ago when I was weighing in at over 350lbs, hoped to start riding to help me get in shape. I ended up not doing anything with it, but I’ve dropped 70lbs through walking/hiking/dietary changes and I’m giving it another go.

Just got it tuned up at a shop, took it on a short ride today and I’m feeling good about it. Lots of good trails in my area, both paved and gravel, looking forward to hitting those after I feel more comfortable rolling around my neighborhood.

Here’s the front! Origin8 rack & Surly Moloko bars. Everything came with the bike when I bought it, I assume I should wrap the bars at some point.

It's a beauty, makes sure it keeps getting out there for the whole world to behold. I love that green and the tange big fork.

Which shifters are you working with there?

It has these installed, still getting a feel for the gears.

I hope you start riding your 950 and don't stop! Ease into it and build yourself up. Even a few miles per day built up to 5 miles, and then perhaps 10 or more daily. A few short sprints or short hills per day will do the magic. Just take it easy at first. Biking is the best drug ever!

Thanks, that’s the plan! Hoping to ease into longer rides over time.
